Well, after several months of indecision, we finally decided to go ahead and start a blog about all the things we love, love to eat, love to create and the bumps along the roads that have led to some of our greatest “mom”ents.

What is a “mom”ent you ask?  Let us explain.

We are full time working moms and wives.  We love to cook, bake, create and share our efforts with our friends and families.  Those close to us tell us “you should party plan,” “you should sell these,” and so on.  Our response: “we would if we could get paid to.”  As mentioned above, we are both full-time working moms.  We work because we need to and because we like to.  With that said, our best moments are those we spend with our families and together making a variety of crafts, planning parties for our families and trying out new recipes.  Our “mom”ents are those times.  It could be something as simple as a new recipe we tried that was just amazing.  Maybe it is the finished diaper cake for a dear friend that felt so uninspired yet turned out beautiful.  It could be the party that took a month to plan and yet the blood, sweat and tears from the painstaking attention to the details made it a success.  One day it will be fitting into an old pair of jeans due to the “so far I’m doing great” diet.

We have about a billion ideas of things we want to do, yet a lot of time life gets in the way.  You see when a “mom”ent does happen it is often in the wee hours of the night after our babies have finally fallen asleep or it took about 100 hours too long because even though we have husbands, sometimes Mom does it best and our projects will just have to wait.  Like all moms, we are too busy and too tired.  We know there are a lot of us out there trying to do  special things to bring joy to those we love the most and making time to make that happen can be near to impossible sometimes.

Thanks for stopping by Making Mom-ents.  We hope you will find a little joy, humor and inspiration as we share some of these moments with you.
